Optional Bonuses
The coworker posting an eligible request may choose No Bonus or fund a Bonus from $25 through $100 in $5 increments per individual shift. Bonuses are not wages paid by Shiftance, do not replace employer compensation, and do not guarantee earnings.
Posting and Claiming
Normal Coverage and Swap posting and claiming are free. Shiftance does not charge a base poster fee or base claimer fee.
Bonus Service Fee and Urgent Status
The posting coworker pays a Shiftance service fee based on the Bonus: $2.99 for $25–$50, $3.75 for $55–$75, or $4.59 for $80–$100. Supported Bonuses run from $25 through $100 in $5 increments. Urgent status is free, whether selected by the poster or applied because the shift starts within 24 hours. The poster of an active Coverage or Swap request may also send one free Urgent Notification for that request per calendar day.
Stripe Connect Processing
Shiftance uses Stripe and may use Stripe Connect or related Stripe services to process payments, subscriptions, holds, releases, refunds, and failed transactions.
Bonus Release
A Bonus becomes available only after the applicable shift is completed, both required confirmations are successful, and no review, payment failure, dispute, or policy issue blocks release. Standard Payout is free and is expected to arrive in 1–3 business days. Instant Payout is optional; its fee is the greater of $1.49 or 3.75% of the Bonus, and the exact fee and net amount are disclosed at final confirmation before authorization. Provider processing times may vary.
Bonus Refunds
Cancelled-before-claim and expires-unclaimed requests receive a full refund where payment was collected or held. Disputed-before-release funds are held for review. Disputed-after-release matters require manual exception review. Duplicate or incorrect charges may be refunded for the erroneous amount. Fraud or abuse may pause funds for review. A full refund includes the bonus, Shiftance service fee, and any user-facing processing fee.
Failed Transactions
Failed transactions may prevent a request, bonus, subscription, or payout-related action from completing. Shiftance may retry or request updated payment information where appropriate.
Subscription Billing
Shiftance Pro is billed monthly through Stripe at $4.99/month. You can cancel anytime. Your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again. If a renewal payment fails, Shiftance may provide a 3-day grace period before returning the account to Free.
Taxes
Users are responsible for understanding and handling any personal tax obligations connected to payments, bonuses, or other amounts received.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate payment information, complying with workplace policies, and responding honestly to completion and review requests.
