What Data Is Deleted
When deletion is completed, Shiftance aims to remove or de-identify account profile information that is no longer needed to operate, secure, or legally support the platform.
What Must Be Retained
Some information may be retained where needed for security, fraud prevention, payment records, legal obligations, dispute resolution, audit logs, and support history.
Payment Records
Payment, subscription, refund, failed payment, and bonus transaction records may be retained as required by Stripe, tax, accounting, legal, or fraud-prevention obligations.
Fraud Prevention
Shiftance may retain limited signals related to abuse, duplicate accounts, chargebacks, warnings, suspensions, or platform safety.
Legal Retention Requirements
Certain records may be retained if required by law, court order, government request, tax rules, payment rules, or legal preservation obligations.
Recovery Limitations
Deleted accounts may not be recoverable. Some Work Group, request, payment, audit, or support references may remain in limited form for other users' records and platform integrity.
How to Request Deletion
Use the Delete Account flow in Settings or contact support from the email address associated with your account. Feedback is optional. You may cancel deletion during the 7-day recovery window.
Returning After Deletion
After full deletion, the same email or phone may be used for a new account. The new account starts fresh and does not restore old Work Groups, requests, subscription state, or deleted profile data. Records that Shiftance must retain for financial, legal, audit, or security reasons do not restore the old account.
